Notes From Nature Talk
Issue seconded (as general bug). Possible workaround: fill in other info, fill in year, then use arrows to pick other two, then hit finish.
As a quick note, Google says the first couple of Scientific names are mis-spelt (e.g. LepidOcolaptes Leucogaster).
Saticoy's apparently a town in Ventura county, Cal (ignore the random dot in the middle of the word). Also, I think the date is M-Y-D
A possible (joint) record for most collectors for a single bug?
However, there is (or was) a Seven Oaks in California - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelus_Oaks,_California
Oops, the Dam didn't exist until around 2000. Ignore that one.
There's a Seven Oaks Dam in California. According to an obiturary, in '36 Reeves was a student at Riverside Junior College in California.
Does the Essig Museum have a record of collecting trips made? It might be useful in cases like this.
The det date is before the collection date. The label doesn't look like it's from 1893. Is this unusual, or have I misunderstood det?
#missingspecimen
Bad photograph.
Probably #nocollector , unless it's the thing at the bottom left.
I can find no reference on the internet to a nircus/nincus species of Malacothamnus.
#nodate
The host name seems to be a misspelling of Sida Hederacea.
#dateobscured
Slightly more far-flung than normal. Location seems to be a misspelling (or old name) for Taulabe.
The new name label seems to obscure the location info.
