This is a plant from Mexico. The list of States does not contemplate specimens from outside the US.

Can we use ASCII codes? I did use alt-241 for ± I found in a record, hadn't thought that might be a no-no?

Also I've seen ½ and ¼ come up in records and have been using 1/2 and 1/4, but I' could use the alt-171, alt-172 instead for better clarity.

ASCII codes typically cause problems downstream when trying to publish these data. I will check on best practices here!
