What do I do when the label goes the width of the label, and cannot all be read in order to answer the questions?

#unclearlocation Dang handwriting. Barely made out genus name, location is gibberish to me.
Also I've seen ½ and ¼ come up in records and have been using 1/2 and 1/4, but I' could use the alt-171, alt-172 instead for better clarity.
Can we use ASCII codes? I did use alt-241 for ± I found in a record, hadn't thought that might be a no-no?
