Notes From Nature Talk

What field does elevation belong in?

I've been putting it in "habitat and description," but I it could also be used to help pinpoint a location. Curious what other folks have been doing/thinking.

I put it in habitat and description, for the same reasons you said.

    Ditto.

Yes, habitat and description. I'd consider repeating the elevation in the location if I thought it might help, but I don't remember any instances.

I have put it in Location a time or two but it seems happier in Habitat.

Alright, I'll stick with habitat, and maybe also put it in location if there isn't much other location information. Thanks for the input.

Yep, I agree with habitat although one could argue that location is an x,y,z measurement so I can see the point about "location" too. The science groups will try to formalize some issues regarding where we have content show up. That is going to be a "good challenge".

Let's start a poll. I bet $5 dollars the science groups go with habitat. Any takers?
