Recording subspecies
-
by ghewson
(http://talk.notesfromnature.org/#/subjects/ANN00002de) has, underneath the species and scientific author, "ssp. elliottii". This is presumably a subspecies. I'm going to include the subspecies in the scientific name and separate the scientific authors of the main and sub-species with "/", as "L. / (Torrey & Gray", etc. I hope this is OK. Is there a recognised convention for this?

I would do this as
'Aster puniceus elliottii' for the name
&
'(Torrey & Grey) A.G. Jones' for the author leaving out the 'L.' from the species namePosted
