  This one has two things to note. One is the 5 mi N (of) Sin! The other is the weird date construct which I assume is 8/9/70-8/15/70

  Possibly Sinaloa? I know that's a state, but it could be the collector was saying 'Sinaloa, 5 mi. N. of Mazatlan'.

  State = Sinaloa, city = Mazatlan, 5 miles north (been there). On desktop, I created sticky note list of all states in Mexico for easy ref
