Bred in captivity?
-
This page seems to be an odd assortment of different bird observations over several decades. It includes two that were "bred in captivity". I assume the ornithologist isn't just padding his log by visiting someone's pet parrot -- what's going on here?

These could well have been taken from a number of notebooks or suchlike. There are often birds bred in captivity, as they may have been the first of the type he had encountered, but knew it to have been bred in captivity.
