Crabs: many ids with the same species
-
#scientist input please.
When a crab has many labels with the same species on, do you want them both/all transcribing, using the "first identification" and "second identification" fields? Assumption, yes.

You're right. Each determination is a personal opinion, and so it matters who made the determination (even if it matches soemone else's determination). The only exception I'd suggest is if it's impossible to tell who made a second determination that matched the first one. There's not much point in recording that, since we only know "someone" agreed with the known scientist. In the case of this label set, it's... challenging. On the "Allen Hancock" label, it's clear that "J.H." did the identification (that happens to be Janet Haig). The other label is anonymous... but... the handwriting matches the handwriting on the "EB 42-49 Mouth Albion R. Z-3" label, strongly suggesting that "EB" (Emerson + Barnard) did the other determination. Sometimes it's half science and half straightforward detective work.
