Early date

  What do you do if the date on the tag is earlier than the dates in the dropdown menu?

  I have also come across this problem, especially with plant specimens from the Herbarium of Max W. Buell, and few before 1890, yes BEFORE 1890. I put the date as 1890, but I think the dates should begin at least in 1870.

  Yes, put the earliest date possible and write 1849 in the notes.
