A little suggestion

  As we are recording the dates for specimens... it could be cool and perhaps generate more interest - even recruit some extra citizen scientists? - if it were possible to look up samples for a specified date.

  What plant was collected on your birthday? What insects were harvested on the day you graduated? etc.

  I was actually wondering the other day if anything had been collected on my birthday.

  I think it's up to you! I sure will flag a note if a specimen was collected on my birthday or other celebratory occasion!
