Multiple species and hybrids

What is the most clear and accurate way to document that there are multiple species and to make sure that their scientific author is accurately tied to that species when using the format provided to transcribe?

I've been tagging these with #cross and just entering the genus (i.e., Eupatorium in this case). That should show that the record needs additional processing at a later date.
