When in an Ornithology page and I lose the screen for some reason I can not get back to my original work, so I end up spending a lot of time 2 hours sometimes, Is it all in vane or is it saved somewhere?

When open at a book page that I am transcribing. It happens if by accident I type something in the search box at the screen top and press enter key as if I was searching for a correct spelling. The active page changes to the search page, ok in its self but when I click to go back 1 page I have lost all my data.
