It is not clear what format I should enter the locality in

Written on the label is "11 mi. W Walcott". In the locality field should I just type this in or should I type "11 miles west of Walcott" or would it be helpful for me to type in both? It is not clear from the instructions. From experience of dealing with large data sets, I can imagine that both would be most useful for searching and processing.
