    Contaminant from other seed samples, not a specimen collected in the field. Is there a standard way of dealing with these?

    I would simply write what is written in the record. My approach is: they want us to transcribe records, not to choose what to do with them.

    Thanks. We realize that some data will not be transcribed, and that's ok. The fields that are used here are the most widely useful.
