  1857 is a mistake, I assume. Collector was born at 1898 and died at 1978

  Yes, strange. Unless they acquired a specimen from an earlier date, but that wouldn't fit the usual way of recording.

  Agree. Leek Lodge was built in 1927, so hard to collect across from entrance before it exists:

  I know these people were collecting in the 1930's and 1940's, I don't think they were 100 years old then!
