    What about when 1 name has been struck out? Just use the not-struck-out one? (Does this mean 2 names, or misidentification the first time?)

    Also, is "Styrax americanaam" right? Google gives lots more hits for "Styrax americanus".

    It says Styrax americana. However, Styrax americanum seems to be correct, so it's OK to use this.

    "Lam." doesn't has to be transcribed.

    And I would use the handwritten information. Probably Lelong mixed up to plants when labeling them so he had to correct name and number.
