Counties in Germany

  • majortim by majortim

There are no counties in Germany, so what could be the equivalent? The "Regierungsbezirk" (governmental district[, which only exists in four of the 16 federal states (like in this example, Bavaria) (in this example "Mittelfranken" / Middle Franconia) or is the equivalent rather the "Landkreis" (rural district) (in this example Kreis Hersbruck, which is now (since 1972) in the "Kreis Nürnberger Land").

German wikipedia says a county is a like a "Landkreis" .

I'd leave County blank and try and fit as much detail in on other parts of the recording

I use the "Landkreis" as it is the equivalent of a county in English speaking countries.
