(Perceived) Non-existent locations

  • A2H by A2H

What are we supposed to do if a location is clearly legible, but it just doesn't seem to exist? I wanted to check if "St. Ignatius National Forest" might be within one distinct county -- when I discovered that there isn't any such forest in Colorado, neither national nor state! I also can't find any other reference to any kind of "St. Ignatius Forest" anywhere else in the US. There is no forest that remotely matches this one. I also checked lists of previous national forests, without any result.

I think San Ignatius Forest is in Montana. But you don't need to investigate, just transcribe as it is on the card.
