What is the meaning of the symbol on line 1833 here? Seems to me like they weren't sure of the exact species? Like it was either nigeriae OR inornatus? What is the correct way to transcribe this symbol?

From previous discussions it appears to mean it could mean either nigeriae or inornatus like you said, to type the arrows I am told this works;
cut&paste this: ⇄ (U+21C4, RIGHTWARDS ARROW OVER LEFTWARDS ARROW)Posted

oh, cool. I will keep this in mind. I just typed (greater-than)(less-than) on this sheet. The actual symbols of course, but can't do that here because it thinks I want to code.
