Can image be magnified?

I can do the Ctrl++ thing, but is there a direct means built into this site for magnifying images to help with deciphering some of these records?

No there isn't. The Control ++ is probably easiest. Windows has a magnifying facility under 'accessories' 'ease of access''magnifier', but I find a hand held magnifying glass the best of all. Good luck.
