  I'm having trouble reading the scientific name of this plant; I think it is Sevecio hoffmannii, but I'd like to confirm with someone more familar with these plants.

  This site can help 'tease out' the name, sometimes. It will offer suggested spellings as you enter anything in the 'search' box. But if you can't decide on a suitable entry, there is always the "Skip this field" 'button'. Even if you do that, the software (and the admins/scientists) will notice the problem. So even 'skipping' it will be beneficial to the cause. 😉
