Location and Date writings

Not entirely sure of the Location and Date writings.It says Tub Canyon, which is in New Mexico, but also says San Diego, California? And do you agree that the second digit on the date is a 7?

There is a Tubb Canyon in S.D. Co., so this is a Californian specimen. Probably the date is April 7th 1952.
