Meaning of the term "Det."

  As title states, does anyone know?

  "Det." means "determined," as in 'this insect was determined by W. W. McGuire in 1980 to be Hesperia comma harpalus".

  "(Edwards)" means that this is the name of the person who came up with the most recent authoritative description of what the species Hesperia comma harpalus looks like.

  Wow, thanks a bunch! I feel like this information should be more readily available on this website (though, after a quick google search I realized you could find the information pretty quickly too).
